Cala Jondal and Cala Porroig are two ideal places to anchor and spend the night on the island of Ibiza.
When you disembark with your sailboat or catamaran rental in Cala Jondal, you will find a beach bar area where you can have a cocktail, mojito or caipirinha on a bed on the edge of the beach, with live music and the possibility of enjoying dreamlike sunsets.
We would like to point out that when disembarking in Jondal cove, a small wave forms on the shore and if you cross in a dinghy (in a boat), it is common that the impact and movement produced by the wave can move the boat to a great extent and a small accident can occur with the occupants or objects in the water.
Having said that, this is an area of outstanding natural beauty with a small number of architecturally exquisite houses crowning the hills that surround the beach.
In turn, at the beginning you can find a grouping of pine trees that provide beneficial shade and finally it slopes down towards the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
As for Cala Porroig, we can say that it is one of the best anchorages in Ibiza. This cove is little known because it is totally natural and there are no beach bars around, so tourism is much less than in other parts of the island. However, the slipway huts are still in operation and are frequently used by fishermen, especially at weekends.
So, if you are looking for something more leisurely, we recommend Cala Jondal, where on Sundays there are Brazilian parties, with Salsa dancing, etc.
Remember that Cala Jondal has a slightly rocky beach, so it is important that you wear shoes when disembarking in order to have a safe landing.
